...and after a month of not shooting a wedding I am more exited than I have been in a while. Rick and Lindsay had us back in Lamberton, MN for our 5th wedding in this small town of less than 500. Lindsays sister Natalie and her husband Scott are displayed in our gallery so I had to make sure to get some really good stuff of Lindsay and Rick. I think we managed!
I'm not sure why they call it "Black Friday", but all I did was photograph a great couple with 3 of their grand daughters, then I spent the afternoon with my kids and hung Christmas lights.
Wendy thought she should squeeze one last dog into our promo week since I didn't really have anything going on Saturday morning. I really love dogs, even the ones that come in to the studio and bark at me, like I'm the one that doesn't belong here. Maybe after a week or two of cleaning up fur we will have a special for blog readers to bring their pets in?
After photographing almost nothing but dogs for a week it was so nice to have a cute little boy in for his six month session. At least I still had the drool to contend with to make me feel right at home.
...and we ended with an angry cat. I started the day off with a hyper, yet somewhat agreeable kitty, then 2 bigger dogs that listened only slightly better than the cat. After that a 6 month old "newfie" that acted just like any 6 month old puppy, but cute enough to make up for it. I was almost late for our 5:00 pure white cat, I guess she was holding that against me cause she growled the whole time. After all of the trials and tribulations I still love animals, even if my mother is right and I am kinda alergic to cats.
Well, tomorrow is our last day of the crazy pet week. I didn't know what I was in for, but things are still going well. Today I really connected with Emma the yellow lab, then Ginger and Chloe came in and I had a good time with two standard poodles...who would have thought I would love a poodle?
After a great day I have to end on a positive note with these two little energetic girls. Even after getting bitten and barked at I still couldn't get upset with them.
This morning I was blessed with a sleeping little newborn girl. I have the worst luck when it comes to sleeping newborns, but Olivia made up for all of that. She was in that nice deep sleep where we could do just about anything with her. Other than the laundry and shampooing the carpet it was a perfect session!
This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Ella, a one year old St Bernard. All I can say is "wow". It didn't take long for me to fall for her...
Bella was our last of the day. I used to think that little dogs were annoying, but I have come to love them every bit as much as the "big manly" dogs. I'm done photographing until Monday, and I hope to not spend too much time working Sunday.
