What a busy week! After the chaos of last weekend I don't think I will ever see the light of day again. Wedding albums to design, proofbooks to make, session to prep, files to print/package, and on top of it all I am just about done building a new computer so that I don't have to sit around watching my computer think all day.
First off I finished going through the images of my cousins' kids.
Then we had some headshots (I'll spare you the boredom) and a couple of maternity sessions.
..and Natalie
What a day! Wendy started at the hair salon at 9:00am, but to get there she had to leave the house at 8:30. Then as soon as she got home we had to drop the kids off at my moms and rush to Beaver Valley Lutheran. It was a little windy out in the middle of nowhere, but we managed to get some really cool shots, we even took the studio lights out into a field for some dramatic lighting. After the ceremony we headed to the Falls and to Wileys before heading to the reception at the Holiday Inn. We finished up the day about 10:30pm and headed one of Wendy's cousin's wedding dances. By the time I dropped the kids off for bed it was midnight, and I got home from the studio at 4:00am. I never thought that working all day and well into the night would be so rewarding, but when you make new friends and get to spend the day with your best friend what could go wrong?
This week has been just as busy as ever. We had a wedding Saturday (perfect weather), an engagement session, and a senior that we haven't blogged about yet.
The wedding Saturday was a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Sherman park. There were a few issues with the timing, so we did the pictures of the couple and the bridal party first, then after the ceremony we did a few quick family portraits. It is always so nice to be able to work with just the bride and groom alone for the first hour!
Trista and Dusty's engagement session was great. These two are going to have a fun wedding day!
Tanner was in yesterday for senior pictures. Even though he wasn't thrilled to be here the pictures are awesome.
After doing Parkers newborn pictures I thought his six month session would be great! Well.....
...That's what Parker thought about having is pictures done again. After a feeding, a huge burp, and getting to play with dads cell phone things started getting better. He even got to play in the grass for a while.
By the end of the session I think he got bored of me.
This morning was a beautiful morning for senior portraits at the Japanese Gardens. Years ago that was the place in town to do senior pictures, but in the last couple years people have stopped going there because "everybody goes there", and I for one was getting tired of the same old thing every day! These days it's a pleasure to go there with a senior girl in the morning when the light is the best. I did have a hard time getting sam to relax and not smile at the same time, but she has such a great smile it is hard to hide!
Sunday we had a small wedding at Tuthill Park. I usually shoot the "non-church" off day weddings alone, but my beautiful 10 year old daughter asked if she could join me. It was really fun having a little helper along, I even borrowed a digital Rebel for her to use. Chris and Angie had a very nice ceremony, it's a great change of pace for me to photograph a quiet wedding.
